*Save the Date* ANNUAL MOCK TRIAL

Texas Nurses Association, District Four has set a date for the annual Mock Trial. The educational program is scheduled for Monday, November 9, 2015 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, Texas. Our planning committee wanted to share this date with you while fall schedules are being formulated. You will be receiving flyers and registration materials at a later date. Would you please share this information with your colleagues?

Additionally, we will also have a Career Fair for all attendees. We hope you will attend. Many health facilities will be there to recruit RN's as well as students in attendance.

As you know, the Mock Trial is heavily attended by nursing students, though many RN's and other professionals attend. The committee feels the actual dramatization of a "Mock Trial" helps clarify the legal responsibilities of the professional nurse. I personally have attended most of the Mock Trials and each time has left with a stronger sense of the RN's legal responsibility.

We look forward to having you with us as a part of this event. In this time of increasing malpractice suits, I believe an offering such as this is a preventive step in the right direction.
