Burnout, stress, and musculoskeletal symptoms in nurses

Dear Texas Nurse, 

 

You are invited to participate in a research project related to health and wellness of nurses.  The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship of musculoskeletal symptoms in nurses with job-related stress and burnout. 

 

Title of study:  The relationship of musculoskeletal symptoms with psychological and physiological factors influencing health in nurses. 

 

Nurses are eligible to participate if they: 

• Are 18 to 65 years old 

• Are currently employed as a nurse 

• Work day shifts 

• Provide direct patient care for at least half of their work hours 

• Have not had any surgery the past 3 months 

 

The survey will take about 15 minutes to complete, and your responses are confidential.   

 

If you know of any Texas nurses who meet the eligibility criteria above, please invite them to complete the survey, as well. 

 

This research study has been approved by the Institutional Review Board at University of the Incarnate Word (Reference number 2023-1397-EXP).
