Call for Nominations Board of Director Nominee- Jonathan Eng

Greetings! My name is Jonathan Eng and I am currently a RN at Methodist Dallas Medical Center. I was raised in the city of Chicago and recently moved here to Dallas about one year ago to begin my nursing career. I obtained my bachelor's degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign back in 2017. Following graduation, I worked in various hospital roles until I decided to obtain my MSN at DePaul University in 2021.

I am passionate about empowering and elevating those around me and have dedicated my career to it. I consider myself a lifelong learner, and continuously strive to improve my own knowledge while learning from those around me. This desire to increase my own knowledge led me to obtain my CCRN certification. Being proactive by nature, I often seek out opportunities rather than waiting for them to come to me. Since moving to TX, I have been actively involved in the nursing community. These roles include: an active member of TNA D4, elected official of TNA State Awards Committee, board member of AACN Dallas, and Secretary of my Unit-Based Council. My volunteerism includes: being a judge for 2024 DFW Great 100, judging for TNA Leaders and Legends Award, judging for the TNA Outstanding 25 Nurses Award, and helping with the 2023 TNA D4 Mock Trial. 

I am running for a board position with TNA D4 because I strongly believe in the organization's mission to further elevate and advocate for the nursing profession. In light of nurse's week, I want to recognize the trailblazers of our profession who paved the foundation for nurses. These leaders continue to inspire me to aid in creating a bright future for the nursing profession.
