Brittany Edwards is a dedicated and compassionate nurse with a wealth of experience and a strong educational background. Residing in Crandall, Texas, Brittany has consistently demonstrated her commitment to providing exceptional care to her patients and supporting her colleagues in various healthcare settings.
Brittany's journey in nursing began with her Bachelor of Arts in Biology, with a minor in Sociology and Spanish, from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2013. She then pursued her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Coast University-Dallas, graduating in 2016. Her passion for nursing and continuous improvement led her to complete an Acute and Critical Care Internship at Baylor Scott and White in 2017, followed by a Charge Nurse Course at the Veterans Medical Center in Dallas in 2019. In 2022, Brittany earned her Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in the Clinical Nurse Leader Program, from Southern New Hampshire University. She is currently enrolled in a Doctor of Nursing Practice at Texas Woman’s University.
Brittany's dedication to veterans' healthcare transitioned her to roles at the Department of Veterans Affairs. As a Registered Nurse in the inpatient and outpatient settings, coordinating patient care, managing complex medical conditions, performing medical record reviews, and utilized data trends to improve patient health outcomes. She shows intellectual curiosity by becoming a certified nurse in her field and undergoing several leadership trainings through the VA’s L.E.A.D program and the Fuld Institute of Evidence-Based Practice. Over her nine years in the nursing field, she has honed her skills of analyzing complex clinical and ethical issues, developing creative solutions, and critical thinking. Brittany is a member of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated, within the Dallas area. She has volunteered with these services in blood drives, Sickle Cell Awareness with Children’s House, and various local community health fairs. She is also adjunct nursing faculty at West Coast University-Texas, nurturing young minds as a fundamentals lecturer.
Her commitment to patient advocacy, compassionate care, and continuous learning is evident in her professional achievements and dedication to the nursing profession. Brittany Edwards is a creative nurse who continually strives to enhance her capabilities and provide the best care possible for her patients and their families.
