Katie Fields is a dedicated and passionate nursing leader with over nine years of clinical experience as a pediatric nurse, specializing in hematology/oncology and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Her deep commitment to the nursing profession is grounded in her experience at the bedside and her continued advocacy for nurses across all levels.

Currently serving as Program Manager for Nursing Professional Governance, Katie leads efforts to strengthen shared decision-making, foster nurse engagement, and promote evidence-based practice. She actively serves on the Texas Nurses Association Government Affairs Committee, where she supports legislative initiatives that protect and elevate the role of nurses in healthcare.

Katie is also a proud member of the North Texas Nurse Honor Guard, paying tribute to the lives and legacies of nurses who have dedicated themselves to the care of others. Her passion lies in leadership development, mentoring future nurse leaders, and creating meaningful opportunities for nurses to grow and lead within their organizations.

Katie is honored to bring her experience and commitment to the TNA District 4 Leadership Succession Committee to help identify and support the next generation of nurse leaders in Texas.
